High-Protein Buffalo Chicken Dip Recipe

This high-protein recipe combines the classic flavours of buffalo chicken with a protein-punch, giving you a nutritious and delicious dip that is sure to be a favourite!

The star ingredient is cottage cheese, which is an excellent source of protein. Protein is key to helping you feel full for longer, especially when paired with fibre (whole grain crackers and fresh veggies). I often make this recipe for a quick and delicious lunch during the week, but it can easily be increased to bring to a game day party or potluck and is sure to be a crowd pleaser!

Recipe makes x 1 serving

Prep time: 10 minutes

Cook time (optional): 1-2 minutes

Recipe Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooked chicken, diced (I used rotisserie chicken)

  • 1 package light Laughing Cow cheese (or 1 tbsp light cream cheese)

  • 2 tbsp Greek yogurt

  • 2 tbsp cottage cheese

  • 2 tbsp Buffalo sauce (or to your preference)

  • Your preferred seasonings (I used ½ tsp each: garlic powder, onion powder, Ranch seasoning)

  • 2 tbsp shredded cheese, for topping

Recipe Directions

  1. In a bowl, combine diced chicken, Laughing Cow cheese, Greek yogurt and cottage cheese.

  2. Add your preferred amount of Buffalo sauce and seasonings. Mix to combine.

  3. Spread evenly in your chosen serving dish. Top with cheese. Enjoy hot or cold.

  4. If choosing to serve hot (see Tip below); In the microwave, heat for 45 seconds, mix to combine, then heat for another 45 seconds. In the oven, bake at 375 degrees until bubbly (~15 minutes). Serve with your favourite veggies and whole grain crackers.

Tip:

If choosing to serve hot, make sure you use a microwave or oven-safe dish for serving!
