Maple Cinnamon Pear Bites

These are the perfect holiday bites to serve at your next party - for a light appetizer, healthy snack or dessert! Cinnamon, pears, creamy cheese and maple syrup...what more is there to love!

Prep time: 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe pears, chopped

  • Juice from half a lemon

  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

  • 3 tbsp pure maple syrup

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 1 small package of plain goat cheese, softened (can also use plain whipped cream cheese – it spreads easier)

  • Whole grain baguette, sliced

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, add pears and squeeze lemon juice on top to prevent browning. Toss well.

  2. Add walnuts, maple syrup, and cinnamon. Stir all ingredients together.

  3. Spread cheese onto a slice of baguette.

  4. Spoon pear mixture on top of cheese.

  5. Enjoy!
