If you’ve never tried balsamic vinegar glaze with fruit, you have got to try this salad. The sweet and sour combination is perfect for a refreshing snack. Bocconcini translates to “little bites” in Italian. They are semi-soft balls of mozzarella cheese, about the size of eggs. They can typically be found at the deli section of your local grocery store.
Total prep time: 15 minutes
Serves: 6-8
Ingredients:
Fresh strawberries
Mini cucumbers
Fresh basil
Mini bocconcini
Balsamic glaze (optional)
Mini skewers
Instructions
Wash and prepare strawberries and cucumbers.
Starting with a strawberry, then add a slice of cucumber, a folded piece of fresh basil, and end with a bocconcini. Drizzle with balsamic glaze prior to serving, if desired.
